Certificated Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Prepares students for immediate employment in a skilled nursing or other long-term facility. Includes resident care, nutrition, rehabilitation, and emergency care. Graduates are eligible to take the state competency exam for CNA. Health packets will be given at mandatory orientations and must be completed by start of class. Fluency in the English language is preferred but is not mandatory. Includes: 64 hours Theory; 100 hours Clinical Lab and 52 hours CNA Essentials.

Fall Session I: August 12, 2024-October 31, 2024
 
Fall Session II: November 4, 2024- February 20, 2025
 
Spring Session: February 24, 2025-May 29, 2025
Prerequisite:
•Complete physical examination by MD or Nurse Practitioner. Must include 2 step PPD and Flu vaccine. If TB test is positive, please obtain CXR and submit copy of report. All items previously mentioned should be valid within 1 year of enrollment to the CNA class. 
• Must have proof of Covid-19 vaccination and 1 booster as per CDC guidelines.
• Criminal clearance must be completed before the start of class.

Students provide the following:
• White shoes
• Stethoscope/BP cuff
• Watch with second hand
• Gait belts

 

 Included in fee:
• 2 pairs scrubs
• Text book
• Work book
• BLS First Aid/CPR
• OSHA 10 badge for Health Care Professionals
