Pharmacy Technician
This course prepares students for entry level employment as a licensed pharmacy technician. Students will learn related medical calculations, basic pharmacology and anatomy, medical/ pharmacy terminology, pharmacy law, and medication dispensing requirements. This course is designed to prepare students for employment in various pharmacy settings. The class consists of seven core module study areas including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacy lay, metric and apothecary systems, drug requirements, and dispensing prescriptions. Upon successful completion of this course, students will qualify for registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Additionally, students will earn an OSHA 10 Lic and a CPR card. Scrubs will be provided.
Prior to obtaining their pharmacy technician's license students will be expected to pay for the following additional items:
