Medical Insurance Billing and Coding/Administrative Assistant
This course is designed to prepare the student for entry level procedural and diagnostic coding, including medical billing with reimbursement management. Web-based software is used to enable the student the freedom to access the software remotely. Successful completion of this program enables the student to meet the entry-level requirements to perform a variety of tasks at various health care facilities. Class will also include instructions
on Medical Laws/Ethics, Introduction to Medical Billing Software (License required), HIPPA and professionalism in the workplace. (Textbook and other materials required.)

Enrollment Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the class
- Valid California Drivers License/ Identification Card
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED or be co-enrolled in an HSD program.
