Water Technology

This comprehensive course provides in-depth instruction in both fundamental and advanced concepts of drinking water treatment and distribution. It is designed to prepare students for the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) certification exams for Treatment and Distribution Operators. Bassett Adult School is an SWRCB approved Specialized Training Provider. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a 36-hour certificate in either Treatment or Distribution, which fulfills the specialized training requirement for higher-level certifications, such as Grade T2 and D2 and above. As an SWRCB-approved Continuing Education Provider, Bassett Adult School also offers this course as an opportunity for currently certified operators to earn continuing education (CE) contact hours required for certification renewal. Students will receive a comprehensive textbook covering water treatment and distribution topics, specifically designed to support exam preparation. The textbook serves as both an instructional guide during the course and a valuable long-term reference for professional practice. Ongoing Enrollment

Enrollment Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the class
  • Valid California Drivers License/ Identification Card
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED or be co-enrolled in an HSC program.
