Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

This course is short term vocational training designed to prepare the student in the basic fundamentals of refrigeration and air conditioning. Students will learn to diagnose service, install and repair residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Students will learn safety, basic tools and the use of diagnostic instruments used in the field. Students will also prepare and test for an EPA 608 Universal Certification. (Workbook, EPA Test Prep Manual and EPA Test fee included in registration cost.)
EPA Section 608 Universal Exam 2019-2021, Bassett Adult School students have a high percent pass rate.

Enrollment Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the class
  • Valid California Drivers License/ Identification Card
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED or be co-enrolled in an HSD program.
  • Must be physically fit to climb on ladders

Bassett Adult School is an Eligible Training Provider in the State of California and is a partner with EDD, TAA/ TRA, Department of Rehabilitation, Workman’s compensation and CSAAVE, California State Approving Agency for the Veteran Education.
